Business as Usual Sidetrack Ten
Aug. 17th, 2007 08:07 amI chose incorrectly in
ekaterin24's Who's Gonna Die in the Last Harry Potter Book Contest, and the penalty was a 100 word drab. She prompted, Jin's long, swinging, *gorgeous* hair, and here's what Lmuse came up with. Just a little piece of fluff, totally worksafe. 154 words. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Business as Usual Sidetrack Ten
wherein Jin hunts for treasure
by Laura Bryannan
They watched the game in relative silence, which was not unusual, but the legal pad balancing on Mugen's knee most certainly was. He pulled it out during the fifth inning and continued to scribble for the remainder of the game, chewing on the end of his pen, so thoughtful Jin was dying of curiosity. The mystery stood for the rest of the night, unfortunately, as it was too nosy to ask about and Mugen clearly wasn't sharing.
Thus, Jin was forced to snoop the following morning, safe in the knowledge his lover wouldn't be up for another few hours. He located the pad underneath the recliner that was Mugen's throne and sank into it, spine and heart melting as, surrounded by fanciful creatures, funny faces and other doodles, he discovered
Black downpour rain silk waterfall
Smells like Rain scent, feels like silken strands
Flowingover around through my soul heart soul
My King's lover's crown

Date: 2007-08-18 01:18 pm (UTC)This is simply ::can't find the words::
Goes to show that Jin's hair would inspire even Mugen to poetry.
I'm sorry it took so long for me to get to this--I wanted to wait till I was home to enjoy it in complete solitude and peace and oh, it was worth the wait.
I'm saving this to memories for that lovely haiku with all the very telling edits...

Date: 2007-08-28 07:09 am (UTC)But all the crossing out is totally Mugen writing poems. Yep, I think the crossing out is what did it for me.
Kudos :)
