Wank has been everywhere in the LJ circles I travel in recently and it all seems to boil down to one attitude:

I have a right not to be bothered/upset/triggered while I roam the net.

Where did this attitude come from, folks? Considering the nature of the beast, it seems a ludicrous position to take. Do those of you who defend it hold real life to the same standard? I have a hard time understanding how anyone who feels this way can leave their house, turn on the TV or do anything involving other humans. Their tender sensibilities will be ripped to smithereens if they do, of course.

So what do you think, flist? Do people really expect to wander the earth and never bump into anything repugnant? Or is the You've triggered me therefore you're ebil attitude borne out of net anonymity and the ability to attack and bully without repercussions?
