Ms. Nosy McNose strikes again. For those of you who no longer live at home, how often do you talk to your mom? Daily, weekly, monthly, never? I don't have a paid account, so no ticky boxes...sorry, but I'm truly curious.

FWIW, my mom and I chat on the phone once a week.

Nearly every day, or she gets nervous.

Am trying to change that.

Twice a week or so. My mom and I are very close, but she's not the type to panic if she doesn't hear from me for three or four days.

I have more trouble with my grandmother, who I know would like to call me every day because 1) she worries a lot and 2) she wants my help with crossword puzzles. :|

That's wonderful your grandma is still around. :D

Thanks for playing.

At least once a week. She usually drags me out for breakfast on Saturdays at god awful hours in the morning when I would otherwise be sleeping, completely unconcerned about the 15/20 minute drive it takes me to get there.

Other than that, she calls me at a lot of random intervals when she's bored or upset, or has some weird thing she wants to talk about or share and she doesn't know who to share it with.

Honestly, I feel like I'm her mother, not the other way around.

If breakfast means she's paying, maybe it's not so bad. ^_^

Thanks for your vote.

A lot via e-mail (several times a week) and phone… maybe once a month? XD I'm really not a phone person, even with my own mum.

Every night. I live in the same town, and my parents get upset with me if don't call them. . . and generally act like their fingers are broken and they can't pick up the phone. . . I sometimes wonder if they treat my brother the same way. . .

At least once a day, even if it's just through email -- she doesn't have a lot of outside interests, so I like giving her something outside of Dad/tv/who's sick in the family/her daughter-in-law's failings (baking an unglazed ham! The horror) as some kind of way to hook her back into the world, even if it's just a story about one of the crazies at work. (Why yes, I did just talk to her. :D)

How'd the job going? I miss seeing you around here.

That's sweet of you to reach out to her like that.

Job is going okay, and I've been offered a permanent position, which is a Good Thing.

What's new with you? I miss you around here too. *sniff*

Once a week, because Sunday night is Dinner at Mom's night <3

Didn't think I'd miss the conversations till she took off on a long trip.
