Do you wear the same perfume all the time? A scent that everyone knows you by?

FWIW, I do. I've been wearing an essential oil called Light Amber since the late 70's. After Bear was born, I switched over to Neroli (orange blossom) for a while, but have since wandered back to my former "laura smell."

Just curious.....

I used a perfume called 'oceanus' by the Body Shop for most of my 20s and 30s, but then they changed the forumla and I don't like it any more. It was the only scent I've ever really felt was me, so I miss it!

Actually, that happened to me as well. The scent I wore in high school and early college, a men's cologne called Lucarelli, was discontinued. :-(

Yup, been wearing Red Door since around 1995. I wear lemon verboena oil pretty often in the summer, otherwise RD every day all day ;)

I'll admit, I don't wear my scent every day anymore, now that I'm no longer a working gal.

I've used Demeter's "Honeysuckle" scent for the past 5 or 10 years.

Mostly just shampoo and soap/shower gel, but sometimes I do like to wear Echo Woman by Davidoff. It's a strong, unisex scent that I do love and tend to wear when I need to be braver or act up on something. I also, sometimes, but it's rare wear Gucci's Envy Me. (both of the perfumes were presents btw, I'd probably never buy them, too expensive XDD)

I'm in love with a few different shower gels too.

I know what you mean about perfume costs. I guess that's why I've always leaned toward essential oils, although some of them are uber-expensive too.

I'm trying to imagine how Light Amber smells. I think I smell-tested it once at a place that sold essential oils.

I go through phases of wearing my Body Shop (or is it Bath and Body Works? I can't tell them apart) Vanilla scent. Usually it's just whatever soap I'm using--there's a local goat farmer/soapmaker who makes wonderful goat-milk and herbal soaps that are perfect for my dry, kind of sensitive skin and have scents that don't usually irritate my sensitive nose.

Husband, no matter what soap he uses (and he never uses scent) always smells *awesome.* Mmmmm....

I think I read somewhere that men find the scent of vanilla and cinnamon the most erotic.

Hee, wish I could say the same about my hubby. ^_~

I wear amber, too... LOVE it. I feel middle eastern-ish or exotic (which I definitely not)!

Yeah, even though I've experimented with other scents, it's the only one I've keep coming back to.

I don't wear much perfume, but I have my lotion and use a body spritzer... the scent I've stuck with for the last three or so years has been Blackberry Vanilla X) I think that's probably the longest I've stuck with one scent!

Mine too! And I love blackberries so I figured it had to be awesome. XD Plus it's not overpowering like some vanilla things can be. It's a very subtle scent. ^_^

I don't wear perfume because my sense of smell is too strong and it gives me headaches. But I can easily identify others by scents they wear.

*nod nod* A lot of women's perfumes give me headaches too. Most are too sweet and cloying for me.

CK One by Calvin Klein for me. I've been wearing it for over 10 years already and I don't think I'll change I love it so much.

I have a collection of perfumes, so i guess i don't just have one scent, i pick a scent that reflects the day. If I'm going to party I wear Paris Hilton's Cancan (i hate her, but the perfume smells divine and sexy) or Harajuku lover's Baby. I wear Micheal Korr's Very Hollywood to bed, or when out with my fiancee (he bought it for me) and I have Roxy Girl and Hilliary duff's with love for causal days.

I have a hard time finding scents that I like. You're lucky you have so many! ^_^

Hello! Very late comment (only just retured back to LJ after a year long absence) and I'm randomly stalking other peoples' journals now :)

Congrats on landing the job!

I love how you have a signature scent, I've never really been able to find one scent that I could wear all the time. I tend to change mine based on what I'm doing on the day or my mood etc.

p.s. thanks for sharing the video of the penis hiding dance - LOL I watched it for the same purpose too XD

Maybe I'm just lazy, but once I found something I liked, I stuck with it. I'm glad you liked the penii dance. It still makes me smile to watch it. ^_^
